Word of God

Posted on

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

How would we know Heaven is our home without the Word of God. The Bible is alive because it is based on what happening in our life, and Christ places thought is our mind as we read the word. We are responsible for knowing the Word and everything we read and hear we compare to the Word.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. Every Christian needs the Holy Spirit that lives in each Christian. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) With the Holy Spirit, we have better understanding of the Word, we are convicted when are thinking of sin, helps us to pray, and the Holy Spirit connects us to Christ.

The Word tells of God’s plan of salvation through Christ and he renews our mind and changes our heart to become the person we were created to be. When Christ comes to defeat evil in the world, his name is “Word of God”, telling us that his judgment is based on the Word.

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. (John chapter 6: verse 63). Obeying the Word gives eternal life to our spirit. The Word guides us to accept Christ for taking our sins to the cross and receiving the Holy Spirit. If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John `chapter 4: verses16 and 17). The Word tells us we need the Holy Spirit.

The indwelling Holy Spirit changes us by renewing our mind. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. (Romans 12:2) When we obey the Word God fills our heart with his unconditional love, and now we show our love for God by reflecting God’s love to others.

Today read the Word because it is the language of God and our eternal judgment is based on the Word. The more we know the Word the more we can tell others about Christ.

Prayer: Lord, open my heart to receive your divine Word and fill my heart with your love., and help me to be a light for Christ and reflect your love. In Jesus name, Amen
