When Christ Returns
Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:30
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14) Only God knows when everyone on the fragmented timelines, and some of the fragments of time haven’t occurred. But if all people on the earth hear the truth, the end is here, even if other events haven’t occurred?
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.” (Matthew 24: 9-11) People all over the world are being persecuted and killed, 90% in Nigeria, in China, and in other countries. Satan has turned many governments against Christians.
For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.” (Matthew 24:21-22) As we get closer to end times the world will become increasingly evil, and Satan will make people evil because they don’t know the God’s truth from the Word. It is the task of Christians to bring God truth to people that don’t know the Word.
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Romans 24:36) Only God the Father knows when Christ returns, and he will return when we are not expecting. We should always be ready for Christ’s return, and we will be doing what the Lord has called us to do, bring people Christ. We help people and tell them about Christ to our last breath, or when Christ returns.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42) We should be ready for the Lord’s return every day, and we become more Christ-like every day. When the world gets more sinful, and we see the events occurring in the Word; than we can make a rough estimate of when Christ will return, but we will never know the exact time.
Today remember Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. (Matthew 24:35), and always be ready when Christ returns.
Prayer: Father, help me to bring people to Christ to my last breath, or when Christ returns during my life on earth. In Jesus name, Amen
