For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.Ephesians 6:12
Our enemy is not people, we fight this source of all evil which comes from Satan. And the only way we fight Satan and his demons is through the power of Christ. When we are tempted by Satan, we immediately call on Christ to make Satan flee, otherwise the sin may become a habit.
When we minister to people, we tell them that all evil comes from Satan’s lies and deceptions. And the great dragon was cast out — that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelations 12:90) A Christian has love for all people, but we hate the evil they do which comes from Satan.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) When tempted by Satan, the first thing we do submit to Christ, and ask Christ to make Satan flees. We call on Christ immediately before our emotion drives us into sin. Sin can be desirable, but remember it goes against Christ. A Christian should always seek to control their emotion through the power of Christ, otherwise Satan will seek to control our emotion.
God has given his power to overcome sin and live in victory. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) The Lord knows our weakness and enables us to overcome, which means there is no temptation we cannot overcome with the power of Christ. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Today overcome Satan through the power of Christ, and remember all evil comes from Satan and his demons.
Prayer: Father, help me to fights Satan’s evil temptations, and remember people are not my enemy. In Jesus name, Amen
