Leads the World Astray

Posted on

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

Revelations 12:9

Satan deceives the world with his lies that people believe, because they don’t know the truth of God’s Word. All of Satan’s deceptions will tempt us to live by our evil fleshly desires, and he knows our weaknesses.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) We have to be careful because Satan and his demons are always prowling around to tempt us to sin. He tempts over and over and we overcome with the power of Christ. The only way we can overcome Satan’s attacks is by calling on Christ to make Satan flee., because he tempts us by our sinful fleshly desires.

And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (2 (Corinthians 11:14) Satan poses as an angel of light, because he will tempt our own sinful justification which can difficult to resist. And he will continue to tempt us until we have multiple victories in Christ, then we will have lasting victory. The only way to overcome Satan’s temptations is commune with Christ, read the Word, and pray. And we need to plan an escape when we are tempted in the future.

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. (Romans 16:12) Christ his total power over Satan and his demons, and He has given us his power to overcome. We have to call on Christ before Satan’s temptation cause us have a sinful habit. Then it is more difficult to overcome because we desire the sin.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. (Colossians 1:13) Christ will deliver us from Satan darkness and transfer into his kingdom of light. We call on Christ whenever Satan attacks, and we call on Christ before our sinful emotion takes over. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:15)

Today be aware of Satan’s attacks and overcome with the power of Christ.

Prayer: Lord let me be free of Satan’s attacks, and walk in victory with Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
