Be Closer to Christ
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
As we face the last days, the world becomes more sinful and we strive to be closer to the Lord. We get closer to our Christian brothers and sisters and we help each other, we pray more, and we read the Word; and that brings us closer to the Lord.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6) Christ is with us at all times and he guides us everyday to be more Christ-like till our last breath. We need Christ at all times, and he will give us the strength to endure this world, no matter how evil the world becomes. We depend Christ to get us through each day.
I have set the LORD continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) We are always with the Lord, and we will never be shaken or fearful. The Lord is with us and we are secure, because our soul is protected for eternity in Heaven. Our flesh is a temple, and we take care of our flesh as long as we are on this earth, our flesh gets, old but life in our spirit which never ages. As the body without the spirit is dead…. (James 2:26)
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. (1 Chronicles 16:11) We seek to be with Lord continually, because we need Him every moment of the day. We need his guidance in everything we think, speak, and do. Remember it’s Christ who is God, and he is willing to guide us through life, and overcome Satan temptations.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34) As Satan makes the world becomes increasingly evil, we fight with a heart filled with God’s love. We fight Satan’s hate with the power of God’s love, because Satan has no love. We show kindness and love to everyone, because Satan is our enemy, and not people.
Today serve the Lord and obey the Word. Reflect Christ in everything you do today.
Prayer: Lord, help me to reflect Christ in everything and keep Satan away. In Jesus name, Amen
