We Step into Eternity
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 5:24
Our short earthly life is the only chance we have to live for eternal life in Heaven. The Word of God is our map that guides us down the narrow road to Heaven. And the Holy Spirit connects us to Christ who is always with us to guide us through each day.
This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) We rejoice every day because the Lord is with us, guiding us to Heaven. We thank God for each day of life, and the privilege we have to serve Christ and tell others about eternal life.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:7-8) No one is promised tomorrow, which means we should always be ready to step into eternity life in Heaven. Every day we seek to be closer to Christ, by praying for lost souls, reading and studying the Word, and ministering to everyone. Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30) The world will mourn because they never new about salvation through Christ, because no one ever told them, many people have a Bible but seldom or never read it. Most people live for this short earthly life, while true Christians live for eternal life.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:24) If we remember that everything we do we do for Christ, we will be close to Christ, and we will reflect Christ to everyone. We live to serve Christ and we do everything for Christ, and Christ gets all the glory, and our thanks.
Today live for eternal life, because we never know when we leave this earth. Always be ready to enter our Heavenly home.
Prayer: Lord help me to live each day for eternity, and realize this life is short. In Jesus name, Amen
