We Died with Christ
For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
Luke 9:24
Christ died for our sins and we die to self so Christ can lead us through life. Since we are created in the image of God it is natural for us be guided by Christ through the Holy Spirit; and we live this life guided by God down the narrow road to Heaven.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. (Romans 6:8) We die to self because Christ died for us so we can have eternal life. We owe everything to Christ because He paid a painful price so we can have the Holy Spirit, and Christ is willing to guide us through life. No one loves us more than the Father and Son, and what Christ will do for us while guiding us to Heaven, is more than we can imagine.
Knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; (Romans 6:6) We die to our sinful nature which comes only through living for Christ, because Christ has total power over Satan. We can overcome all of Satan attacks through the divine power of Christ; only if we desire to overcome.
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. (Galatians 2:20) The purpose of this life is to live for Christ, so we will have an eternal life in Heaven. This life is short, and many people believe Satan’s lies and deceptions, which keeps people from knowing the Truth from the Word.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Christ lives in us and he willing to guide us through life with the most fulfilling life we can live. Only God can satisfy us by filling our soul with love, peace, joy and whatever he knows we need, and the blessings never goes aways, they get stronger the longer we walk with Christ, wan things from the earth are only temporary.
Today seek to be guided by Christ through the Spirit, and live the most fulfilling life. Remember that God is the only one which can bring lasting contentment to us.
Prayer: Father, help me to live for Christ and have the promise of the most fulfilling life. In Jesus Name, Amen
