The Narrow Road

Posted on

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

Every Christian has to be careful that Satan does get a foothold, that causes us to lean toward the Broad Road. Satan uses the world to bring us fear, as a tool to pull us toward the broad road. Christians should be grounded in the Word of God because everything we hear from other Christians or from the world, must agree with the Word.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) Through reading the Word, and being guided by Christ through the Spirit; will keep us the Narrow Road. Through the Word and the Spirit, we can live by God’s truth and not be deceived by Satan’s lies.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5) Christians on the Narrow Road are guided by the Spirit, while those on the Broad Road are guided by the flesh. Since we are created in the image of God, it is natural to live by the Spirit; but Satan has deceived the world to live by there flesh. We have to be careful to take everything in our life to the Spirit.

And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23) Every Christian needs to be member of a Bible based Church, because being with strong Christians help us to stay on the Narrow Road. Christ is the head of the Church and the church family is the divine power to stay on the Narrow Road.

Today walk with the Spirit, pray, and be light for Christ; because this keeps us the Narrow Road.

Prayer: Father, keep me on the Narrow Road and with your power to live by your Truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
