Light for Christ
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
Every Christian is a light for Christ, because we pray for the Lord to open doors for us. Satan is busy turning governments against religion with his lies and deceptions; but the Lord will find a way that we can tell people about Christ.
We can reflect Christ, which all comes from a caring heart for others. Your word is a lamp to my feet. And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105) We are light for Christ because we know the Word of God, because that is where we find the Truth. We memorize scriptures because the power of God is revealed in the Word.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23) We are a light for Christ when we reflect the fruit that comes from the Holy Spirit within us. Love is the foundation of all the fruit, and the more we reflect Christ, the more love God puts in our hearts. When we obey the commands in the Word of God by helping others and telling them about salvation in Christ, the more love God put in our hearts, because love motivates us to be more like Christ.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) If we live as God created us, being a light for Christ, we live the best life possible. Everything works better when operated they way it was created, and that includes people.
Unfortunately, many people are believing Satan lies and living for there fleshly desires instead of being guided by the Spirit. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Many people are on the broad road to destruction because they live for there fleshly desires, and a few are on the narrow road to Heaven because they found the way to Heaven from the Word of God. Many people choose to believe the lies from Satan because it appeals to the fleshly desires.
Today be light for Christ, and reflect the fruit of the Spirit to everyone. Live the way God created us.
Prayer: Lord guide me to be to be light for Christ, and help me to memorize scriptures. In Jesus name, Amen
