The Lord Knows Us
You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
Psalm19.1
The Lord knows us better than we know our self, and he knows exactly what we need to be more like Jesus. It’s important that we depend on the Lord and obey his commands, otherwise we may never spiritually grow and become more like Jesus.
You know when I sit down and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them. (Psalm 139:2) There is nothing about us that the Lord doesn’t know, and he knows all our thoughts, even before we have the thought. It’s a blessing that the Lord knows us because we can never become like Jesus on our own, and that’s why we fully depend on Christ.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34) The Lord loves us more than anyone on the planet, and we love the Lord more than anyone. Every good thing in our life comes from the Lord, and we should never take his blessings for granted, but we have a thankful heart.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) It’s a heart of love that enables to know the Lord because God is love. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) The Lord hates sins, but while we were still sinners Christ died for us, so we can have eternal life. Only God can enable us to overcome our sinful nature, by giving us the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and a Church family. How ever we cannot be perfect, but when we fall into sin, we ask forgiveness and divine power to overcome.
God has done everything we need to have eternal life, and Christ guides us through life into Heaven. And since we are created in the image of God, when we live as we are created, as described in the Bible, we will live the best life possible and Heaven will be our home.
Today be guided by the Lord because he knows us better than we know our self, and read the Word and live by the Word.
