Life is Eternal
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16
We never die, only the flesh dies, but we remain alive in the spirit. And our spiritual life is eternal, and where we spend eternity is entirely our choice. If we believe in Christ, have a church family, and we live by the Word, then Heaven will be our home.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Although we can never be perfect, but with the Holy Spirit, the Word, and a Christian church, we fight sin and when we fail, we ask for forgiveness and Christ forgives us; if we truly try to overcome sin. God protects us from the evil one, and He will provide and escape when Satan tempts us. God has done everything so we can live forever in Heaven, except take away our free will.
Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called. (1 Timothy 6:12) We are all created to have eternal life with the Father and the Son in Heaven, but Satan is angry at God and his goal is to take people away from God with his lies and deceptions. And the people who don’t the Word live by Satan’s lies, because they don’t know God’s Truth. Satan has people living for there fleshly desires instead of living by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.” (John 6:35) Only God can satisfy people because he continuously feeds our soul with love, peace, patience; or whatever he knows we need. While things of the world are only temporary, and never compare to the blessings from God.
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:5-6) Satan deceives people living for their fleshly desires, so their minds are far being governed by the Spirit. We are created to guided by the Spirit, but many people live by fleshly desires.
Today know when this life is over, we step into eternity, and where we go is our choice.
Prayer: Father, help me live for eternity during the short earthly life. In Jesus name, Amen
