The Holy Spirit

Posted on

You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

Romans 8:9

When the angel appeared to Mary, the mother of Jesus, he declared: The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy one to be born will be called Son of God. (Luke 1:35) The Holy Spirit from God, lives within us and keeps on the narrow road to Heaven; and connects us to the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is powerful and can make a big difference is our life.

But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, (Jude 1:2) The Holy Spirit assists believers in prayer and “intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God” In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26).

I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high. (Luke 24:29) The Spirit’s power is seen in creating new life in believers, producing spiritually alive beings out of those who were once dead in sin. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. (John 3:6). The Holy Spirit gives divine life to our spirit. The salvation of souls is a supernatural work only made possible by the Holy Spirit’s power as He takes people from darkness to light. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14)

These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1 Corinthians 2:10-11) The Holy Spirit connects us to the thoughts of God and to Christ.

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10) To be guided by the Holy Spirit we need to be still inside and tuned into the Spirit.

Today walk in the Spirit: But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit who guides me and helps me overcome Satan’s temptations. In Jesus name, Amen
