The Blessing of Knowing Christ

Posted on

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

2 Corinthians 9:8

When we are close to Christ, we will find that He provides all we need, and blesses our life to the full. Christ feeds our Spirit giving us peace, joy, patience, and a heart filled with love, and we will never find anything in the world that comes close to the blessings of knowing Christ. If you know Christ you are rich, and if you have billion dollars and don’t know Christ, your poor.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (Psalm 34:8) When we taste the goodness from Christ, we are motivated to spiritual grow so we can forever be closer to Christ.  We do everything to be in Heaven, to be with Christ because it’s our life’s goal, and serving Christ is always our top priority. Christ provides divine blessings from Heaven that we can never find in this sinful world. And we always take refuge in Christ because we depend on Him for every step we take and every breath we take.

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8) The apostle Paul considered everything he lost from the world as garbage. when compared to knowing Christ. Knowing Christ is far superior than anything from the world, because the blessings that Christ feeds our soul are divine, and theses blessings last forever. There is nothing in this life that is better than knowing Christ and living to serve him.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14) The apostle Paul was highly motivated to keep moving ahead serving the Lord until the Lord called him home, so he could be with Christ forever in Heaven. Nothing will motivate us more than a heart filled with God’s love, which gives us an overwhelming drive to serve Christ and to be with him in Heaven.

Today realize Heaven is your home, and keep serving the Lord by reflecting Christ, and being a Light for Truth in this world. There is no life better than living the way God created us; in His image.

Prayer:  Father guide me to always serve Christ through the Spirit, and to always seek to have closer relationship with Him. In Jesus name, Amen
