Spirit of Truth
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
John 16:13
Many people believe their own truth, but everyone will experience the Truth from God when they receive the Holy Spirit. Every person will be judged, and their eternal destination depends on what governs their life on this earth, did they follow the Word of God or did they follow Satan, there is no other choice.
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14) This life is short, especially when we compare it to eternity. And this life is the only chance to get right with God, which comes from obeying the Word. And obeying the Word is the best life we can live, because we are created in the image of God.
Many people believe Satan’s lies, and they live for their fleshly desires, because they don’t know the truth of God’s Word. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) The only Truth about eternal life comes from the Word of God, and when we obey the Word, the truth is revealed in our life.
Knowing and obeying the Word starts by attending a Bible based church, and it takes patience for God to change us. At church we make great friends because we are connected by the Spirit. We repent of our sins and we get baptized in church, then we receive the Holy Spirit. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (John 14:26) When we have the Holy Spirit we are now in the family of God.
Today live by God’s truth and help people to overcome Satan’s lies.
Prayer: Father, help me to always live by the truth that comes from your Word. In Jesus name, Amen
