Seek Godly Blessings
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10
Godly blessings come from God through the Holy Spirit and are permanent, while physical blessings temporarily satisfy our flesh and our soul. Godly blessings are far better than physical blessings, because they continually improve how we feel and how we think. It’s our Godly blessings that give us life to the full.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you. (Numbers 6:24-25) We were created in the image of God and he loves us perfectly, therefore he how knows how to bless us. If we trust the Lord and walk in his good, pleasing and perfect will, we will experience blessings from God that we can never find from the world.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) The blessings from the Lord come from the Holy Spirit that dwells in us which means the blessings are with us forever. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.(Galatians 5:22-23) The fruit of the Spirit fills our soul giving us a heart of love, peace, joy, confidence, and security; basically the mind and heart of Jesus. These blessings are with us forever and they become more powerful in us as we mature in Christ.
Mature Christians live with love, peace, and joy that replaces fear, worry, and anger that comes from Satan. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) Blessings from God lead to faith and trust that enables us to overcome the world. Our interface to the world is through the Spirit, and the Lord helps us in our worldly situations by his divine power enabling us to make wise choices. Christians know that there is nothing on the face of the earth that the Lord cannot carry us through.
Seek Godly blessings by prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and serving the Lord. This will cause us to grow spiritually, to be closer to the Lord, and to receive his divine blessings in our heart. Pray for his blessings, for more love, peace, and joy, and when Satan attacks with fear or anger, pray and give it to the Lord and choose to walk in love, peace, and joy. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7). Trade your anxious moments and pray for peace through the power of God.
Today seek Godly blessings, knowing when we are secure and content on the inside, life is better. Let the blessings of God fill your heart with love, peace, and joy. Christians should always enjoy life since we are filled with the Lord’s blessings and heaven is our home.
Prayer: Lord, help me to seek your divine blessings and to reflect those blessing to others. Thank you for your perfect love and for guiding me through the Spirit with a heart of love, peace, and joy. In Jesus name, Amen
