Saved Through Faith

Posted on

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

Galatians 2:8

We are saved by faith therefore we must live by faith that is pleasing to God.  Our faith reveals that we know God, and we trust is his ways and his thoughts over our ways and our thoughts. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5-6)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) Saving faith comes from a close loving relationship with our Lord, because a heart filled with love enables us to know God. Saving faith comes from a loving relationship with Christ, and we know the Lord from a heart filled with his love. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)

The Lord fills our hearts with his divine love as we follow the Spirit pointing people to Christ. The Lord ‘s desire is to have us motivated by hearts filled with God’s unconditional love for everyone, fighting Satan’s evil deceptions and lies with God’s truth. Our faith increases as the love in our hearts increases, and love increases as we minister to everyone who will listen to the truth. This is how the Lord guides us to fill our hearts with God’s love which gives us faith in Christ.

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. (Philippians 2:5-8) We are being molded to be like Jesus therefore we must be servants of Christ. Being true servants, we live in the Word and in prayer, and we depend on Christ guiding us in our ministry. We see our selves as servants and we worship Christ as our Master. Our faith is totally in Christ because we realize we can do nothing without Christ being with us. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John15:5) Therefore we cannot be a true servant of Christ without total faith in Christ.

Today fully trust the Lord to guide you as his servant. Ask and seek his guidance as you go through the day, bringing the light of Christ into this dark world.

Prayer:  Lord help me to fully trust you with all my heart. Guide me through the Spirit as your servant to be a light pointing people to Christ.  In Jesus name, Amen
