Power Over Satan
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
1 Corinthians 10:13
God has given is power over Satan, and we have to learn to use his power. Satan never gives up on tempting us, and we never give up overcoming Satan’s temptations. The problem that everyone has is overcoming our own sinful nature.
Every Christian is in a Spiritual War, and Christ has given scriptures so we can live in victory. God’s desire is for us to overcome sin through the power of Christ. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) God has given His power to overcome Satan and his evil ways.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) Satan always picks the best time to tempt us, and we have to be prepared to fight off Satan temptations.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10) To be ready, we need to be still inside to fight off Satan. If Satan trigger our emotions, then we may yield to his evil temptations., because Satan knows the exact time when we are most vulnerable to yield to sin.
We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. (1 John 5:18) God has given us everything we need to overcome Satan’s evil temptations. We just need to be still and control our emotions, then we can live victory.
Today Call on Christ whenever Satan attacks, and live in victory.
Prayer: Father, help me to live in victory over Satan, and to always be in control of my emotions. In Jesus name, Amen
