Power of the Holy Spirit
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
Acts 1:8
The power of Christ is with us through the holy Spirit, because the Spirit is our interface to Christ. The Spirit convicts us we are thinking about sin, but have to be still inside to notice the conviction.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) The fruit of the Spirit changes us if we live by fruit of the Spirit, but we have to pray that the fruit of the Spirit controls us. Christ talks to us through the Spirit by placing thoughts in our minds, and the more we know the Word the more we notice his thoughts.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. (Romans 8:9) If we are governed by the flesh, we will not notice the Spirit convictions. But if go to the Spirit with what we see, what we hear, what we say, and what we think; we will be in tune with the Spirit, and again the more we know the Word the mor we can live by the Spirit.
In the days world many Christians ignore the Holy Spirit, but if we pray for guidance, and we know the Word, then we can be guided by the Spirit. The more we desire to be guided by Spirit and the more we pray, and with the Lord’s power we can live by the Spirit.
The Spirit knows us better than we know ourselves, and the Spirit intercedes to God for what we need when we pray. The Spirit also help us to understand the Word. Christ is always with us through the Spirit, and the thoughts and scriptures we need when we are ministering, come from Christ.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthian 3:17) The Spirit gives us freedom independent of where we live in this world. We can never be free unless we know Heaven is our home and we are free from self, because our life is Christ.
Today live by the Spirit and be aware of the Spirits convictions and guidance.
Prayer: Father help be to be guided by the Spirit, and interface to the world through the Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen
