Divine Life from Christ

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”

John 6:35

The more Christ is our life, the more we live a divine life, because we know Heaven is our home. Paul stated, For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21) When Christ is our divine life, we know Heaven is our home.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3) The best life comes when we trust the Lord’s will over our will, he is God, and who are compared to God. Christ knows us better than we know our self, and he can guide is through life far better than we can.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36) There is no freedom on the earth greater than the freedom we receive from Christ. We are free when the sinful world has no control over us, and when our sinful will is under control, and we experience victory over Satan. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) We have the power of God to overcome Satan’s evil, because all things are possible for God.

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. (John 1:4) There is no spiritual life without the Holy Spirit that comes from God. We are created by God to have Christ be our life, because he guides us through all of life’s situations and into Heaven, and Christ knows us and he knows our future. Only Christ gives life to our soul, and there is nothing in the world that compares to the life Christ gives us.

He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. (1 John 5:12) Only Christ can give us divine life in this world, and eternal life in Heaven. We thank Christ every day for dying for our sins so we can have forgiveness, and for guiding us through life. There is no life in this world that compares to the life Christ gives us, and he is always with us guiding us through life.

Today let Christ be your life, and depend on Christ for everything with a thankful heart; and know the Word because it is the language of God.

Prayer: Lord help me to depend on Christ for everything with a thankful heart. And help me to be still inside and to notice the Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen
