Our Security is Christ

Posted on

I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Psalm 16:8

Most people put their security in money, and how does that compare with putting our security in Christ?  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33) If we have the faith to put Christ as priority in all things, including our finances, and use everything we have for the glory of God; he will provide for our earthly needs.

With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26) Jesus made this statement about the people who are rich, concerning their eternal life. He said with man this is impossible, and that could be because their security is in money, or their security is divided between money and God?  It’s very easy that money can weaken our faith when it comes to our security.

The Lord is always with us and we not be shaken. We will not be shaken when we put our trust in God, and use the money he has given us for his glory. When use our money to help others in need, God will make sure we always have enough finances to take care of our family.  Those who give generously receive more, but those who are stingy with what is appropriate will grow needy. Generous persons will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverb 11:24-25) When we have a heart to help others, we can be sure we will receive more, however the joy is in giving, not in receiving.

The ways of the Lord are not the ways of the world, because Satan has deceived many people. The way of God is to put God and others first, and the way of Satan is to makes us our own god. It’s takes faith to live the way God created us to live. That your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:5) The problem is that we sometimes put to much faith in our self, instead of putting all our faith in God.

Today put your security in Christ by asking him for his guidance and safety in all you do today. Remember the Lord is with you and he desires to give you his divine guidance.

Prayer:  Lord, help me to put all my security in you, and not in money and possessions. In Jesus name, Amen
