God Blesses Our Soul
Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
Psalm 62:1
When we live to serve the Lord, God feeds our soul with blessings from Heaven. Inside our flesh is our life, our soul which is our thoughts, personality, and will; and only God can feed our soul with lasting love, peace, joy, and all the blessings from Heaven. Our spirit will never experience the blessings of God from the world.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) The mind governed by the Spirit will receive the blessings from God into our spirit, but Satan wants us to be governed by the flesh and never experience the blessings from God. And he has deceived the world to live by their fleshly desire, which brings only temporary satisfaction to the flesh.
People normally seek blessing from the world, and are not mindful of the blessings from God. People have no thought that are a spiritual person, so they never understand the blessings from God that feeds their spirit. How can a person receive blessings from God if they don’t know they are a spiritual person?
How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You, to dwell in Your courts, we will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4) When we seek to be close to the Lord we will be satisfied with the goodness from God, continually feeding our soul. We will be close to the Lord when our life is serving Christ, guided by God to overcome anything Satan puts in our path.
What more could we ask for; Christ guides in the Spirit to overcome, and God feeds his blessings into our souls. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) We have life to the full from God, which means nothing is missing in our life, because he provides everything we need.
Today remember that your life is in the spirit and not in the flesh. Serve the Lord and receive the blessings from Heaven that will continuously feed your soul.
Prayer: Help me to remember that my life is in the spirit and not in the flesh. And guide me by the eternal spirit, and not from the temporary flesh. In Jesus name, Amen
