Our Future is Eternity
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
John 17:3
Every person in this world has a future of eternity, and where we spend eternity is our choice, the broad road to eternal destruction, or the narrow road to eternal life. We have this short earthly life to live for Christ or live for Satan, there is no other choice.
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. (1 John 5:13) We believe what is written in the Word, because the Word tells us how we get to eternal life. Also, in the Word of God it tells us about the future and what is happening in the world during end times.
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (John 17:3) The greatness of being in Heaven is to be with the Father and Christ, because without the Father and the Son, Heaven would be just a place. We walk with Christ in this life, having a close loving relationship: and being with Christ and the Father is our motivation to be in Heaven.
Our eternal future is our choice; we read the Word, pray, have church family, and obey the Word, then we will have eternal life. As we obey the Word, God fills our heart with his love and all the commands will become natural and desirable, because we are created in the image of God. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27) When we live as God created us, we live the best life possible on this earth, and Heaven is our home.
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
(1 John 2:17) As we live this life serving Christ, God changes our heart to the heart of Jesus, and we live to help others and tell them about their salvation in Christ, because many people believe Satan’s lies about their eternal future. As Christians, Christ will find a way for us to tell others about Christ, and as a Christian we pray for the Lord to open doors to tell others about eternal life through Christ.
Today pray for Christ to guide you to tell others about Christ, and remember many people in this world live this life with little or no knowledge about salvation through Christ.
Prayer: Lord, keep me on the narrow road, so my future will be eternal life. In Jesus name, Amen
