Eternal Life
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
Living on the narrow road to Heaven or living on the broad road to destruction, is strictly our choice. Many people in this world do not find the truth that comes from the Word of God. Satan keeps many people from finding the truth, which comes from reading and obeying the Word.
God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) When we choose to live according God’s will, we live the life we were created to live which is best life we can possible live on this earth with Heaven our home. Satan is always trying get us to live on the broad road to destruction, and his lies make others believe they are on the narrow road.
We live for eternity with other Christians, studying the Word, praying, and telling others about salvation in Christ. As we live for eternity, God changes us by filling our heart with his unconditional love which make His commands natural to us. God changes us from the ways of Satan and molds us to be more like Jesus. God has done everything possible so Heaven is our home, except he never changes our freewill; but he gives his divine power to overcome Satan’s temptations.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17) As a Christian in this world we have trouble that originates through Satan. But the Lord guides us to victory in anything we face in this world. Many Christians in this world have been killed, but they are now living in paradise. We can always have victory in Christ, even if we face death by Satan’s people.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) Our body is a temporary suit that we wear during our short earthly life, but the world can not touch our eternal soul, only we can destroy our soul. We need the support by other Christians and we obey the Word because it enables us to be closer to Christ.
Today read the Word and obey the Word, have a Christian family, and Heaven will be your home.
Prayer: Lord, guide me down the narrow road to eternal life. In Jesus name, Amen
