Only Christ Fulfills

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 10:10

We are created in the image of God, and Christ guides us to live in that image. And when we live a God created us, we will experience life to the full, which means Christ provides all we need in our short earthly life. Satan tempts us to seek worldly things, but we will be content with the things Christ knows we need.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) We are created by God, and only Christ can fulfill our needs. The world can only temporally satisfy the flesh, but God feeds our soul with lasting blessings from Heaven; such a love, peace, joy, comfort, or whatever He knows we need; and these blessings get stronger the closer we are to Christ.

Our life in in our spirit, and not in the flesh. As the body without the spirit is dead, (James 2:26) Life is in our spirit, but Satan has people seeking worldly things to be fulfilled, but worldly things can never fulfill the spirit. If our spirit is not satisfied by Christ, we will never have life to the full.

Christ is God and He knows us better than we know ourself, and he knows how to bring fulfillment to each person on the planet. We can have millions of dollars, but the blessings from Heaven is more rewarding. If we know Christ, we are rich, and we may have millions of dollars and don’t Christ, we are poor.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord. And whose trust is the Lord (Jeremiah 17:7) When we serve Christ, we receive blessing for our soul, and when our spirit is satisfied we have life to the full, and we are free in Christ. Christ not only brings lasting contentment to our soul, he guides us through life, he sets us free, and enables us to overcome the sinful world.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. (Philippians 4:12) The apostle Paul was content in every situation, because God fed is soul with lasting contentment. Paul suffered greatly as a Christian, but Christ gave him strength to continue, and kept his soul content. And God will do the same for every Christian that serves Christ.

Today live for Christ and have life to the full. Know that only God can satisfy us through our spirit.

Prayer: Father, enable me to give Christ priority in my live, and to always serve by being light in this world. In Jesus name, Amen
