Overcome Evil with Truth
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37
All evil originates from Satan, and we fight with truth because Satan hates truth, because he is the father of lies. Satan twists scripture and we bring the truth of scripture. Just as Jesus did when tempted by Satan, while he fasted for forty days in the dessert. We can experience victory when we bring God’s truth from the Word to lost souls.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) God’s truth comes from the Word and it never changes, because God never changes because He is perfect. Many people have a Bible but rarely or never read it; and they are subject to believe Satan’s lies. Every Christian should live in the Word because it is the language of God, and it has the power to change people. If a person is not living in God’s truth, we bring the truth from scripture.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Living by God’s truth is the only way we can experience true freedom in this world. Everyone who doesn’t know Christ is a slave to the world, and they have no understanding of the freedom that comes from Christ. And Christians are not fully free unless they know Heaven s there home.
For no word from God will ever fail. (Luke 1:37) We minister from the Word with scripture, we don’t tell the truth in our own words, we let God’s Word tell people the truth, then we follow with our words of the blessings when we follow the truth. We minister to others with scriptures, and then with our experience. We use scripture to bring the truth to a person with a sinful behavior, because the person will know his sin is against God.
It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. (Deuteronomy 13:4) The more we follow Christ the more we will hold to the Truth. But when Satan attacks with a sinful thought followed by our emotion, we call on Christ and quote a memorized scripture, and Satan will flee. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) We resist the devil with the power of Christ, and the devil will flee, because Christ has total control of Satan and his demons.
Today overcome Statin’s attacks with his lies, with God’s truth, memorized scriptures, and call on Christ. And do this before Satan uses our emotion against us.
Prayer: Help me to always live by the Truth, and to overcome Satan’s evil through Christ and the Truth. In Jesus name, Amen
