I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them our of my hand, My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.

John 10:28

2024 is another year and we make new year resolutions. This year make a resolution to be closer to Christ, and overcome any bad habits through the power of Christ.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27) We are created in the image of God; and think deeply what that means. When we live the way God created us, we live the most fulfilling life possible, and we live for eternity. Our flesh dies but our soul and spirit live forever, and where we spend eternity is based on how we live this short life on earth. Do we read and obey the Word of God, do we have a church family, do we pray, and do we bring others to Christ; because that is what we are created to do during this short life on earth.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10) God gives us divine power to overcome anything in life, even physical death.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. (Ephesians 3:20) The power we have from God comes from the Holy Spirit that lives within us, and the Father and the Son make their home with us. God is far not from us, he is within us and he knows our every thought, word, and action we have in life. God knows us better than we know ourself.
If we don’t obey God’s commands as given in the Word of God, we will pay the price for our sins forever; and when we die in the flesh, we step into eternity. We are not created to live in this life and think our life ends, but we are created to live in Heaven forever with the Father and the Son.

When Christ lived in the flesh, He was crucified on the cross and died; and after three days he arose from the grave and was alive, and was seen by 500 people. Christ lived in the flesh just like us, and Christ now lives in Heaven And that is an example for us; because when we die in the flesh, we arise from the grave to meet Christ the air, and he will take us home. Every soul that every lived will experience Christ’s return.
And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. (Mark 13:27) Every person that ever lived on this earth, will experience this scripture, and where we go depends on our life while on this earth. Did we live by the Spirit, or did we live by own desire?

Today attend a Church family, read and obey the Word of God, pray, and bring others to Christ. No one on the earth is perfect, except Christ, and Christ died so we can have forgiveness. And God knows our heart whether we are truly sorrowful for our sins when we ask for forgiveness and for divine power to overcome.

Prayer: Help me to make a new year resolution to serve Christ, and to overcome any sins in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
