Live by God’s Truth
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8: 31,32.
We can believe anything from the world and we can convince ourselves of our own truth. We can even twist the Word to convince ourselves of our truth, but we can never change God’s Truth, the Truth that sets us free and gives us eternal life.
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. (Revelations 19:13). When Christ returns, he is called “Word of God” meaning judgment is based on his Word. Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10:37). We love the Lord more than anyone, and that draws us closer to the Lord making us more Christ-like, reflecting his love, compassion, and wisdom to the world.
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. (I Timothy 4:1). Satan and his demons are desperately trying to feed lies into our hearts for the purpose of pulling us away from God. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3).
If we continue to trust God who loves us perfectly, he will give us the best life we can ever have. If we live by his Truth from the Word of God, we will never be deceived by Satan.
Today, decide to follow God’s Truth and receive life to the full, and live by Truth and the Lord will set you free in Christ.
Prayer: Lord, help me to live by your Truth because it is the only fulfilling life and the way to eternal life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
