Love People – Hate Sin
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
We love all people, even our enemies, because everyone is created in the image of God, and God loves all people. We hate the lies and deceptions that Satan feeds people, and if we hate evil people, then God’s love in our hearts will grow cold. Our enemy is Satan with his lies and deceptions that lead people astray, and the more we love people, the more we will hate sin.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8) God is love, and how can we be Christ-like without a heart of love that cares about people. We pray for all people, asking God to change them to become the person he created them to be.
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) God is love and we are being molded to the mind of Christ; and how we be like Christ without a heart of love? With hearts of love, all of God’s commands become natural and desirable. There is no room in our hearts to hate anyone on the planet, we are created to hate sin and deception from Satan.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) Our hearts show love for all people, but we hate sin, and we overcome sin through the power of Christ. When Jesus cast out demons as recorded in the New Testament, the demons fully submitted to Christ. When we are tempted by Satan and his demons, we call on Christ, and the demons will flee because they submit to Christ.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31) How can we love God if we hate evil people. Love and hate for people in our hearts is not pleasing to God, because he wants us to hate sin. How can we minister to someone we hate? We minister to people with a loving and caring heart.
Today don’t be angry at people but be angry at the evil they show that comes from Satan. Satan hates love, and that is what we show to all people.
Prayer: Lord never let me get angry at people, but let me show anger toward Satan and his evil deceptions. In Jesus name, Amen
