Love People Hate Sin
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Matthew 5:44-45
As evil increases in the world our love increases toward all people; and our hate grows stronger against the evil that Satan puts in people. Satan’s demons can enter people today just as the did in Jesus’ days on earth, and that is what makes people do horrific evil things. When we hear and see the evil things people do in this world, remember it all evil comes from Satan.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) Remember our struggle is not against people, it is against Satan and his demons in the spiritual realm. We pray for people and we help hurting people in this world; and we fight Satan with the power the Lord has given us, and we fight with God’s truth and through prayer.
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44) These are the words Jesus told the Pharisees, and Jesus would say the same words to people today who refuse to find God’s Truth. Christians are separated from their sins and they have the Lord’s power to overcome Satan’s temptations, although they cannot be perfect living in the flesh, but their hearts desire to be perfect, and God looks at our hearts. But those who don’t know Christ, but their sins remain with them. All those who don’t know Christ, are deceived by Satan’s lies and deceptions.
Today take time to pray for our enemies throughout the world, and show kindness and patience to everyone. Slow down inside and walk with the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, help me to love my enemies and hate the sin they do. Guide me to bring God’s truth to deceived souls, especially to my close friends and family. In Jesus name, Amen
