It’s Never too Late

Posted on

One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other rebuked him, saying, “Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.” And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Luke 23: 39-43

This verse tells us it’s never too late to except Christ, because the Lord knows the sincerity of our hearts. We should never give up on people, even if they never seem to believe what we tell them from the Word. We pray for them and we always treat them with kindness, because we never know when God might touch their hearts.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9) This verse says we will reap a harvest if we never give up, because we are consistent in prayer for someone, and we always showing kindness to them; we never know when God might touch their heart. It’s good to never give up on someone, because after ministering to them for a very short time and they may continue to believe Satan’s lies. If we know the lies that they are believing, we can respond with God’s truth to overcome Satan’s lies.  We fight Satan’s lies with God’s truth.

The hardest lie from Satan to overcome, is telling people that walking with Lord is a far better life than being our own god and spending life satisfying the flesh. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) We tell them that God rewires our brain based on our new thinking, and that is why we read the Word, pray, and have a church family, because this helps to change our thinking.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) We tell them they are created in the image of God, and everything works better when operated according to the operations manual, and this includes humans and the operations manual is the Word of God.

Today never give up on people because it’s never too late for people to change. Pray for the words a person needs to hear, and never get angry or rushed or frustrated, but remain calm with love and compassion. A person may not change until years later, and our actions are to point them in the Godly direction.

Prayer: Lord, help me to know it’s never too late for a person to change, especially when we pray for your guidance and to always show kindness.
