Live in the Spirit

Posted on

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25

We are spiritual people living in physical suit – Christ is spiritual, the Father is Spiritual, and Satan and his demons are spiritual; therefore, it’s reasonable that we live by the Spirit and stay connected to the spiritual world.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18) What we see is normally what we think about, so we seek to keep our thoughts on things above. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2) The key to living in the spirit is determined by our thoughts.

Interface to the world through the Holy Spirit, as though the Spirit is a filter between our Spirit and the world. Whatever we see or hear first goes to the Spirit and we respond with Godly wisdom. The Spirit guides us on what we choose to see and hear, but ministering in the world it’s possible to see and hear most anything.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8) Meditation on the Word and with God, is a superb way to be in the Spirit.  Get somewhere alone with no interruptions, and spend time with the Father and the Word. Your mind and your imagination will move into the spirit, when talking and listening to the Father. Remember the spiritual world is as real as the physical world, but we are for a short time living in the physical world.

And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. (Mark 6:46) Jesus spent much time in prayer, and he was always connected to the Father. Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. (John 4:19) Jesus always new whatever the Father was doing because he and the Father were one.  I and the Father are one. (John 3:10) Jesus was in the flesh and he is example of how close we can be to Christ and the spiritual world.

Today interface to the world through the Spirit and that will keep your mind in the spirit.  The more your mind is on things above the more peaceful is life and the closer you will be to Christ.

Prayer: Lord help me to live by and in the Spirit. Guide me in the Spirit to bring truth to the people on the broad road deceived by Satan.  In Jesus name, Amen
