Live in the Light
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9
Every Christian should live in the light, and overcome the darkness from Satan. Satan is always trying to make us sin by activating our sinful nature at the most opportune time.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11) When Satan attacks, we call on Christ for protection from Satan, and Christ will make Satan flee. Whenever we have a sinful thought, we immediately quote scripture and call on Christ.
Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. (1 Peter 2:11) We have the Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son with us, to help us overcome any sinful desires. When we call on Christ to make Satan flee, we can remain living in the Light. And always be aware of Satan calling us to live in darkness.
This is what we heard Him tell us. We are passing it on to you. God is light. There is no darkness in Him. (1 John 15:5) God gives us power to live in the light, although we cannot be perfect, but we can call on Christ when Satan attacks, and we can remain in the light, but sometimes the light may have a little darkness, but we call on Christ when we fail and he will give us forgiveness, and the power to live in the Light.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. (Ephesians 3:20) God gives us power to live in the light even when Satan attacks. We can live in the Light because the Holy Spirit convicts us when we are leaning toward sin. God knows every thought we have and ever sinful desire, and if call on God immediately when Satan attacks, we will remain in the light.
Today live in the light, a know Satan will attack with darkness; and always be prepared to fight Satan with the power of God.
Prayer: Lord, help me to live in the light, and I need your power to make Satan flee. In Jesus name, Amen
