Love God

Posted on

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Mark 12:30-32

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16) How can we be Christ without a heart of love?
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2) Love is a heart of a true Christian, whether they are homeless or have lots of money and mansion to love in. In all cases we give thankfulness to God for everything.

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16) There is no greater command than to have a heart of love, And, if I have faith to move mountains but have not love, I am nothing.

We show our love for God by obeying his commandments, and they are not hard to follow. (1 John 5:3) The greatest command is to love God and to love other people; and we show love to God by showing love to our neighbor; which includes all people. With a heart of love, helping people becomes a priority to us.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) To show love to others we need Christ with us day and night. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23)

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) We can do nothing without Christ being with us, because Christ knows what the person we are ministering to needs to hear, both in scriptures and in our words. We always need to be patient when ministering to someone.

Today be patients in everything you do, and reflect the love of Christ.

Prayer: Lord help to be patient and show love and kindness to everyone. In Jesus name, Amen
