Live by God’s Truth
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
Christians live by the truth from God’s word, and Christ came to earth to show us how to live by the Truth. We live by the Truth, and we experience God’s truth is true in our lives; and we are truly blessed when we live by God’s Truth.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22) The sign that Jesus gave was to watch out that no one deceives you. Satan can deceive us without us being aware, and that is why we need to be in Word every day so we know God’s Truth.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. (John 3:21) When we obey God’s commands we are living in the Truth, and the Lord is pleased when live by the Truth. We read and pray everyday so we can live by the God’s divine Truth, and the Truth enables us to be closer to Christ.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) We are body, soul, and Spirit; our soul is our personality, our minds, our intelligence, our feelings, our words, and actions; and God created us with spiritual natures, which is reflected by our conscience. The flesh dies but our soul and spirit live for eternity, and we get a new younger body that lasts forever; and Heaven is our home.
Today, seek the Truth from the Word of God, and never be deceived by Satan.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in in your divine Truth and guide me to bring the Truth to others, and guide me in the Spirit not be deceived by Satan’s lies. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
