Spiritual War
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
It is important we understand our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but it is a spiritual war against Satan and his demons. All evil in this world comes from Satan’s deceptions and lies.
We fight this spiritual war with the divine power of Christ, who has total power over Satan.
For the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4) The Lord’s power works in us to give us victory, and we can always have victory over Satan when we call on Christ and his divine power. We call on the Lord when Satan attacks, quote scripture, and Satan flees.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) The Lord has given us his power to overcome Satan’s evil, and we fight Satan by bringing God’s truth to others. We always fight this spiritual war through the power of God’s Truth, because Satan hates God’s truth because he is the father of lies.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) We pray for all people, which includes our enemies because they have been deceived by Satan. God has given us power over Satan, and we fight with love, prayer, and scripture.
Today, realize we are in a spiritual war and expect victory through prayer and by the love and power of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to fight this spiritual war, to love people and to hate sin. Let your love in my heart, be seen everyone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
