Life and Power through the Spirit
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
The Spirit fills our heart with love which takes away fear letting us live in the power of Christ. The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63) Divine life and power only comes from God through the Spirit, while Satan tempts us to find divine life and power through the flesh.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) We are connected to Christ through the Spirit and when we follow the Spirit, we live in love, wisdom, and power from Christ.
We have the blessing of becoming a servant of God, pointing souls to the Kingdom through guidance of the Spirit. This is life to the fullest because it is what we were created to do. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Only Christ can give us life to the full and it comes from a heart of love that drives us to bring people to Christ.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) Paul states he no longer lives which means he no longer seeks life and power through the flesh. He knows all he needs for fulfillment of his soul comes from Christ. If we can come to the same conclusion, we can live life to the full with love, power, wisdom from Christ.
Today know your divine life and power only comes from Christ through the Spirit. It’s amazing serving the Lord with the Lord’s love, power, and guidance.
Prayer: Lord, fill my soul with your divine life, power, and love. Guide me in the Spirit to reflect this divine life and tell others it only comes from you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
