Know the Truth
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
James 4:13
Compared to our eternal life, this earthly life is like mist, because this short life is the only chance to know the Truth and get right with God. If we don’t know the Truth from the Word, we will by default believe Satan’s lies. There are many people that put their thoughts on worldly things with little thoughts of eternity, and why do you think many people give little thought to their eternal life?
Many people go through life and never read the Word, or read it very little, because Satan has fed them lies so they think they will go to Heaven. The Truth only comes by reading the Word, and if we don’t know the Truth, Heaven will not be our home. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21) We can go to church every Sunday, but the Lord is interested in what we do the other six days of the week. The Lord judges us by our thoughts, because it gives him our motivation for everything we do, and our thoughts reveals the true person we are.
Satan paints a poor picture in the minds of people concerning serving Christ and reading the Word. In reality serving Christ with a heart of love is the most rewarding life we could ever live, because we are created in the image of God. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) The best life comes when we live the way we are created.
The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelations 12:9) We can notice Satan’s deception by talking to people about their eternal life. Everything they say we will recognize as Satan’s lies.
As a Christian it’s our task, to tell lost souls God’s Truth to overcome Satan’s lies, and we have to prepare by knowing scripture or having a short handout. We counteract Satan’s lies with scripture of God’s Truth. We fight Satan with the Truth of the Word of God.
Today live by the Truth and reveal it to others. Be prepared to bring the Truth to anyone who will listen.
Prayer: Lord, help me to always live by your divine Truth, and tell others your Truth to overcome Satan’s lies that they are believing. In Jesus name, Amen
