Keep it Simple
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4
We can make serving the Lord simple or sometimes serving the Lord causes anxiety and impatience. When difficulty comes that puts pressure on our schedules and abilities, we can become anxious even though we pray for the Lord’s help and guidance. Life’s challenges can put heavy stress on us with demanding schedules and difficult tasks. We can become hurried through life with worry taking away our peace and joy. The verse above tells us to rejoice in the Lord always, even when life is difficult and challenging. How can we rejoice when our lives are overwhelming?
When life becomes challenging, it is time to slow down inside and seek guidance from the Lord. We can commune with the Lord throughout the day, giving him our anxious moments and seeking to walk calmly in his wisdom and guidance. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10). When life is stressful and busy, try to slow down inside and call upon the Lord. We can be busy on the outside, but peaceful on the inside.
Be patient in your busy schedule and pray, especially during every difficult moment. The more peaceful and confident we are on the inside, the better we can cope with the tasks ahead of us. I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13). If we pray and have confidence in the Lord we can handle the difficulties in life through his love, strength, and wisdom. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Trust in the Lord because your understanding may bring fear and doubt. It is pleasing to God when we trust him in our weaknesses because then we are strong in the Lord.
Today, make life simple and walk calmly in the Lord. Invite the Lord into every detail of your life and be sure to praise and offer thanks. Make sure you give any fear or doubt from Satan to the Lord and replace it with peace and confidence. Fear from Satan can destroy our peace and joy and make life complex. Take charge of your life and choose to walk victoriously in Christ.
Let’s Pray: Lord, help me to make life simple today by trusting you in all things and walking in your peace and joy. Keep Satan behind me and move me closer to you, trusting you more and walking in your victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen
