Jesus Calms the Storm

Posted on

You of little faith, why are you so afraid? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matthew 8:26

With Christ all things are possible, and he will be with us through every storm in life, and he will give us his divine strength to overcome. We have faith that fully depends on Christ, and we can live in victory to the day we leave this earth for our Heavenly home.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) The most fulfilling life is when Christ’s will always take priority over our will.  Whatever we do in this life, Christ always take priority, and we can be confident he will calm every storm.

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. (Colossians 3:23-24) Whatever we do is this life, we pray it is pleasing to the Lord. We seek to reflect Christ at all times; when we are alone, when we are with others, and when we are driving.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). This verse should be in our hearts; because it will remind us to do everything for the glory of God, which consists of our thoughts, words, and actions. We pray for the Lord’s divine power to do everything for the glory of God, and if we strive to glorify God, then it will become part of our life.  When Satan tempts us to sin, we ask ourselves, is for the glory of God?

We live to serve the Lord through faith, and he will calm every storm we go through in life. And as go through the storm we focus on reflecting Christ. If reflecting Christ takes priority in the storm, then Christ will calm the storm.

Today no matter what happens, pray that the Lord will calm the storm, and fill your heart with peace. Walk is peace with the faith that the Lord will calm every storm in your life.

Prayer:  Lord I depend on you for peace, because I know you can calm ever storm in my life; and I will continue to serve you no matter how big the storm. In Jesus name, Amen.
