Born of God

John 3:3

Born of God means we have the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, and we are in God’s family, we have the power of God, and Christ guides us through life to our Heavenly Home. In addition, the Holy Spirit enables us to better understand the Word of God.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. (Romans 8:14) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. (Romans 8:16) We are in God’s family and we have the perfect Father who loves us more than we can imagine, and wants to guide us through life, gives us power over Satan, and guides into Heaven. There is nothing in life that the Lord will not carry us through, even death.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) The Lord gives those in his family, power to be a light in this world, and the power to overcome Satan. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3) When sin attacks, we call on the Lord and he will give us divine strength to overcome and be victorious.  No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13).  The Lord will always provide an escape from sinful thoughts, when we call on Christ for his divine power.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) Christ places thoughts in our minds through the Holy Spirit, to guide us through life into Heaven.  When Satan tempts us, the Spirit places thoughts to help us escape sin. The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26) The Holy Spirit knows us better than we know ourselves, and he intercedes in our prayers to the Father. This is a great blessing to make us more like Christ because we are biased on exactly what we need.

For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.  (1 Corinthians 2:11) The Spirit enables to understand the deep thoughts of God from scripture, With the Spirit every verse in the Bible speaks to us, and the Word becomes much more fulfilling and interesting to us, because it is the Words of God.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13) The Lord feeds blessing to our soul that never go away, love, peace, joy, hope, or whatever we need. These are divine blessings and the temporary blessing from the cannot compare to the permanent blessings from God.

Today remember the blessings that come from being born of God, through baptism and receiving the Spirit of God. And remember the divine power you have over Satan, and Heaven is your home.

Prayer:  Father, help me to aways remember that I am born of God, and the Spirit brings divine life and purpose into my earthly life. In Jesus name, Amen
