Heaven is Our Home

Posted on

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

2 Corinthians 4:18

This sinful world is only our temporary home, we are created to live in the presence of the Father and the Son just as Adam and Eve did before the fall. We are only here temporarily to serve the Lord by pointing lost souls toward Christ, but Satan desires for us to become comfortable in this world living strictly for this life only and take our minds away from eternity.

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14) Christians live life to the full, with peace and joy; and are eternally minded knowing life is short and Heaven is their home. Knowing Heaven is our home is extremely comforting and helps us to endure this temporary world.

Satan and his lies have many people believing their own truth. No matter what people believe they can never change God’s truth. Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. (Hebrews 9:27) There are many people that are angry against the Christian religion, and I believe it is because deep in the unconscious mind they know they are disconnected from God. We are created in the image of God with the need to be with God and I believe for some people this need is buried deep in their mind and never goes away. For Christians this need is first priority in our conscious mind.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) To be spiritually minded is to be eternally minded and it brings life to the full and brings peace that transcends understanding. Being spiritually minded knowing heaven is our home brings great comfort and motivates us to tell others how Christ gives us life to the full and about eternal life in Heaven.

Today remember this life is temporary and Heaven is your eternal home. Let this bring comfort and peace. Reflect this secure life to others because people are curious why a Christian shows no fear, living with peace, joy, and with a heart of unconditional love.

Prayer: Lord, fill my mind and my heart with the awareness that Heaven is my home. Let this promise help me to minister to lost souls. In Jesus name, Amen
