We are Never Alone

Posted on

Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

John 14:23

Christians are never alone because the Holy Spirit lives within them and the Father and the Son make their home with them. When we know this in our hearts and the closer, we become to the Lord, the more we realize we are always in the presence of the Father and the Son. This provides us with a comforting feeling and keeps us in communion with the Lord all day, just as if he was walking beside us.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9) These are the Lord’s words to Joshua and these are his words to us. How strong and courageous would we be if Jesus was walking beside us just as he walked with apostles? If Jesus was walking with us we could ask him a question and he would give us the answer. Christ is with us through the Spirit and we can ask him a question and he will answer, we just need to learn to hear his answer.

Knowing the Lord’s presence requires being still inside and knowing his language, the Word. The more we know the Word the more we will hear. The Lord speaks to us through the Word and through the Spirit who guides our thoughts and conscience. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.(Psalm 16:8) If we truly depend on the Lord and go to him in prayer we are more likely to hear an answer, through thoughts, through the Word, or through other Christians.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) This verse tells us that we must remain in him to bear fruit, and this is our divine calling. Therefore, we depend on the Lord to guide us as we reflect Christ throughout each day. We really know the Lord’s presence when we seek his guidance while ministering to someone, teaching a class, or preaching a sermon. He is always there to help us in ministry when our hearts truly need divine wisdom And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

Today know you are not alone, the Spirit, the Father, and the son are with you. Depend on their divine love and guidance in bringing Christ to lost souls.

Prayer: Lord let me know you are always with me and willing to guide me through life doing your divine will. Lord thank you for always being with me and for your loving guidance. In Jesus name, Amen
