Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”John 14:6
All truth comes from God through his Word as discerned through the Spirit. Christians live by God’s truth and we seek to help others know the truth. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him (Psalm 34:8). Living by the truth and obeying the truth, then the Lord is our refuge.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’ (John 10:10). The Lord gives life to the full because Heaven is our eternal home. Christ gives us a church family, the Word, and the Holy Spirit that lives within us. The Lord desires to be close to us, and he is willing to guide us through life through the Spirit.
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18) We know the truth from the Word, and we do our best to live by the truth. We are created in the image of God, which means we are created to live by the truth through our words and actions.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, (1 Peter 3:18) Christ died for our sins, and we now have forgiveness because no Christian is perfect like Christ. We seek to live by the truth, but thanks to Christ we have forgiveness, even though we seek to live by the truth.
Today seek to live by the truth and follow his commands, the more we will live by the truth the more Christ-like we become.
Prayer: Lord thank you for your divine truth revealed in your Word, and help me to live by your truth. In Jesus name, Amen.
