Christ is Victory
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
1 Peter 3:18
Walking with the Lord we can experience victory which comes from remembering he died so we can be saved. We trust in the Lord knowing we are in his protective hands with our souls are destined for our heavenly home. When we have victory, it is always victory to the Lord, and he may give us victory in this world.
For You are my rock and my fortress; For Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me. (Psalm 31:3) We are comforted by the Lord’s love and by his promise to guide and give us the strength to endure Satan’s temptations. May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant. (Psalm 119:76) In this life tragedies may occur, but the Lord will be with us with his love and his strength.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) Jesus gave us victory when he died on the cross, because we have the Holy Spirit, and the Father and the Son are with us; and that is victory because we on the narrow road to Heaven.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4) Through the power of Christ we have overcome the sinful world, even though no Christian is perfect, but now we have forgiveness from Christ. We fight sin but sometimes we may fall, and we ask Christ and he forgiveness us and we seek to overcome.
Today experience victory from Christ as you seek to overcome Satan’s temptations. If anything occurs in the category of defeat, pray and seek guidance to overcome.
Prayer: Lord, help me today to experience victory in Christ. Keep my thoughts on others that need an encouraging word, or who has an open heart to hear the good news of Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
