Fruit of the Spirit

Posted on

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23

When we live by the fruit of the Spirit, we have a relaxing and peaceful life, because the Lord wants us to live by the fruit of the Spirit. And we reflect Christ by showing the fruit of the Spirit.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31) Love is the greatest command because a heart of love the fruit of the Spirit become natural and desirable. And the more we bring people to Christ, the more love God puts into our hearts.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:3) Our hope is always in the Lord who never fails us, and he gives us joy. We can live with peace because we have faith the Lord will carry us through life, and through Christ we can overcome anything Satan puts in our path.

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2) If we truly know God, we will be humble and secure, and with a heart of love we will treat everyone with gentleness and patience. We will see others as better than self and we will encourage them., and we show patience by listening. How can we encourage someone if we look down at them?

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7) God has given us a heart of love which enables to have self-control. A heart of love enables us to control our emotions, because it’s our emotions that normally causes lack of self-control.

When we live by the fruit of the Spirit, we are reflecting Christ, and when we live by the fruit of the Spirit we are fulfilled, because that is what God created is to do. All of God’s commands are fulfilling and they for our benefit.
Today seek to live by the fruit of the Spirit, and don’t let Satan have any control. Remember showing the fruit of the Spirit, we are living in the image of God.

Prayer: Help me to always live reflecting the fruit of the Spirit, and keep Satan aways. In Jesus name, Amen.
