Freedom is From Christ
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Galatians 5:1
Christ is the only one who gives freedom, freedom from the world, freedom from fear, and freedom from physical death. We are free because Christ guides us through life, and we know Heaven is our home.
Satan has deceived many people so they don’t think about their eternal life. But as Christians we live for eternal life, because we know this life is short like a vapor. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14) Everyone should have a conscious awareness of their eternal life, because never know when we will leave this earth.
We can never be free unless we are sure our eternal life is in Heaven, and the Bible is the only book that tells how to go through life so Heaven will be our home. Otherwise, we will believe Satan lies about getting to Heaven, but his lies route us to eternal life with Satan and his demons. Unfortunately, there are many people in the world with all kinds of beliefs from Satan, and they don’t read the Word to find the truth.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:36) We can be free in Christ, because the world and all its evil cannot touch our eternal soul. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) Life is in our soul, its our thoughts, personality, and will; and the body without the soul is dead.
We are free when we know Heaven is our home, and we have no fear of physical death. When we take our last breath, our spirit leaves the body and we are a spiritual person. When Christ returns, we get an eternal young body that lives forever in Heaven with the Father and Son where life is always perfect. This is freedom in Christ, but if we are not sure of our eternal life and we have fear death, then we are a slave to the world.
Today give deep thought of your eternal life, because everyone will be judged by God, based on what we have done in this life. Eternal life in Heaven is completely our choice.
Prayer: Help me to free in Christ and to know my home is Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen
