Don’t Let Love Grow Cold

Posted on

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

Matthew 24:12

As we get closer to end times, the evil in the world will increase, because Satan in deceiving the world. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) Christian have love for everyone including our enemies, and we must remember our war is against Satan and his demons.

The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelation 12:9) Satan is the great deceiver and Christians must be aware because he always trying to get a foothold in our life. His goal is to use our own justification to get foothold, so that we are not even aware.  Satan will use us against ourselves.

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:32) Satan deceives us to be slaves in this world, because he does not want us to free in Christ, and a foothold is the first step. Satan seeks to make us displeasing to God, with knowing we are displeasing to God, then Satan has won a powerful victory.  With Satan’s evil, he wants us to hate people which means our love has grown cold. We are created to love every person on the planet, because there is no room in or hearts for hate, except for the hatred of sin, and the more love we have in our hearts the more we will hate sin.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) This verse is a promise of God, which means he has given us power over Satan. With the power he gives us is activated when we call on the Lord, we can overcome any temptations or deception that comes form Satan. But we must hold ourselves accountable to other Christians, because we cannot see ourselves as other Christians see us.

Today, don’t let anger take away your love, but be patience with others because the world is impatience and self-centered. It’s easy to get angry at others, but remember Satan will use others to make us angry and kill our love.

Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with your love to my last breath, and never let my love for others grow cold. In Jesus name, Amen
