Divine Security
To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!
Jude 1:24-25
What gives people security: money, power, job, or possessions; can anything in this world give us true security? True security only comes from Christ and knowing Heaven is our home. How can anyone be secure if they know they are disconnected from God and Heaven is not their eternal home. Many people who don’t believe in God appear somewhat uncomfortable, because they are created in the image of God and disconnected from God?
The Lord fills us with the Spirit, Christ lives in our hearts, He fills our hearts with His love, peace, and joy, He guides us through life, He protects us from the evil one, He will never let us be tempted beyond what we can endure, and He will return and takes to our Heavenly home. And when we put Christ first, He guides us to provide for our worldly needs with His divine power. These are all promises from God because we are in His family, and God is our perfect Father. Can anything in the world provide this divine security?
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) Our soul lives forever in Heaven therefore physical death is our door to Heaven. When Christ returns, we get an eternal younger body and we live on the new perfect earth with the Father and the Son. We walk with the Lord on the narrow road and our spiritual soul is destined to Heaven.
We are secure in Christ because He guides us through life, protects us from the evil one, and our destination is Heaven. God provides all the divine security we need, and we can never find true security in this world. Many people live in luxury but the don’t know Christ and they are spiritually dead. They think they are secure because they believe Satan’s lies.
Today know your security is from God, and it comes from the guidance by Christ through life into Heaven. Put the Lord first and He will provide all your needs in this life. Always put your faith in the Lord, and you will be secure.
Prayer: Lord my security is in You, and I will live by faith knowing Heaven is my home. Give me your power to overcome Satan’s temptations, because he is trying move me on the broad road of destruction. In Jesus name, Amen
