Live for God’s Glory

Posted on

It’s an overarching principle to govern all of life: Live so as to glorify God

1 Corinthians 10:31

In everything we do, our hearts should remind us to give the glory of God. If we teach a class we focus on God’s love and His promises. We reflect God’s love and compassion in our teaching, which gives glory to God.

When we minister to others giving glory to God, we will feel a strong peace that reflects God’s pleasure for many hours after. We are truly blessed when we give the glory to God in our ministry, especially when we lift up the Lord in our ministry.

I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever. (Psalm 86:12) Giving God the glory, praising the Lord, and thanking the Lord; is for our benefit. The more we lift up the Lord the more peace and joy we receive, because God created us to glorifying Him for our benefit. The more we glorify God, the more faith we have, the more we depend on the Lord, and the more we desire to be with the Father and the Son.

With our hearts filled with God’s love, it becomes natural to praise and glorify the Lord with a thankful heart. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. ( 1 John 4:7) It’s an amazing blessing that knowing God with His love in our hearts; it changes us and motivates us to serve Him, opens our hearts to minister to lost souls, and glorifying God becomes a strong desire of our hearts.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23) If we make a habit of doing everything for the Lord, then we will be giving the glory to God.  If we are conscious of doing everything for the Lord, we will have a tendency to do everything with the Lord’s help with a thankful heart.

Today give glory to God for everything and seek His divine guidance. If we learn to depend on the Lord to get us through each day, we will experience His power in our life. Living with the Lord’s power is truly a blessing and gives us a thankful heart that glorifies God.

Prayer:  Let the Spirit remind me to always give you the glory for everything, and depend on your divine guidance to get me through everyday reflecting Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen
