Christ is Our Guide to Heaven

Posted on

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21

We do the will of the Father by obeying the Word and having Christ with us at all times. We depend on Christ when ministering to people, and we need his guidance with our words and scriptures. We need the scriptures when answering questions, from people who don’t the Word and sometimes for people who know the Word.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) Christ speaks to us through the Spirit, by placing thoughts in our minds. When ministering to others he will identify scriptures, and give us the words to explain the scriptures. We need Christ with us, especially when ministering to others, and we ask for scriptures and for our words from Christ. The more we know the Word, the easier it is to minister to others with Christ, because the power is in the Word.

The word of God tells us how to travel the Narrow Road to Heaven. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14) We are a light on a hill which means we reflect Christ to everyone. We always ask Christ about telling others about salvation through Christ, and no matter where we are in the world, Christ will always open a door so we can minister to others, even if only through prayer. Telling others about Christ is what we do going down the Narrow Road to Heaven, because Christians are light of the world.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Freedom comes when God and others come first in our life. We hurt for lost souls and we ask Christ to guide us to bring the Truth to lost souls, and Christ will always find a way. We must depend on Christ, especially when we are ministering to others.

Today let Christ and the Word guide you through each day. Study the Word each day for it is the language of God.

Prayer: Lord guide me through each day and kill any sinful thoughts. In Jesus name, Amen
